I'm a retired law enforcement member who is pivoting to a new career and am excited to meet everyone through this group. Just before retirement in 2024, my husband and I moved here to be closer to my family, particularly my son, and for my husband to pursue his career interests. I obtained a project management certification, we bought a house and, after a suitable reprieve from the daily work grind, I'm ready to find a career role I love. My law enforcement career presented many unusual and productive roles in administrative and non-designated HR roles, which is why I'm a bit of a "jack of all trades" and a master of a few. This allows me to be strategic in business efforts while maintaining my love of effectuating people-centric roles. New roles I'm considering include human resources management, project/program/portfolio management, policy and accreditation management, and consulting as a business partner for these and other roles. In fact, I've thought about starting my own business as a consultant and could use some help working through that idea. Thus, networking is my "job" right now!
