Instead Of Just Making Connections We Made New Friends.

We've been nicknamed "the nice group"
In January 2019, Michelle started a Facebook group called Triangle Women's Network with the aim to be different. Debi soon joined as an admin to help bring structure, establish rules, and grow the group. We wanted a place where we could talk about our businesses, be more relaxed, post job openings, ask for general advice or community recommendations, share a funny meme or an inspirational quote, and generally feel free to be ourselves.
What we created is so much more!

Our Story
Triangle Women’s Network may have begun in January 2019 as a Facebook group created with a clear intention: to be different. But in 2023, it turned into something more.
In January 2023, a friend invited Michelle to coffee but had to cancel due to a family emergency. Making the best of the situation, Michelle invited others from the group to join her instead. Surprisingly, all the women in the photo above showed up. It immediately felt different from other networking groups—we were forming real friendships, not just exchanging business cards. Women from across the Triangle gathered in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere rooted in connection and encouragement.
Because the gathering happened to fall on the third Thursday of the month and was so successful, we continued it monthly, calling it “3rd Thurs.” Over time, we added more meetings, creating opportunities to connect almost every week and allowing relationships to deepen naturally.
By mid-2025, as Triangle Women’s Network continued to evolve, it became clear that different visions were emerging. Michelle and her co-administrator chose to part ways, each moving forward with a distinct focus. This transition allowed TWN to continue with greater clarity, alignment, and intention.
That same year became a defining chapter for TWN’s purpose.
While navigating and ultimately leaving a domestic violence situation, Michelle experienced firsthand the strength of the community she had helped build. TWN members showed up with emotional support, practical help, and unwavering presence—including standing beside her in court. In that moment, TWN revealed itself as more than a networking group.
Today, Business. Friendship. Support. is not a slogan—it’s a lived experience.
Triangle Women’s Network exists to foster professional growth, genuine connection, and a culture of care. We believe relationships are the long-term ROI. We value presence over performance, depth over scale, and belonging over appearances. TWN is a place where women don’t need to impress to belong—and where showing up for one another truly matters.
